Monthly Digest: September 9/1 - 9/29
We're constantly working to improve your SpotOn experience by enhancing what you currently use and love. Here is a summary of recent changes.
What's New or Improved
Start a Tab on World Pay for Customer Facing Displays
Now you can quickly start a tab to protect your sales & reduce server frustration by pre-authorizing a card to confirm the card is valid and funds are readily available. This works across all your devices – stations, handhelds & your customer-facing display (CFD). Check out how to start a tab here.
Enhancement: Introducing Pinch to Zoom for Restaurant POS on Handhelds
Handhelds just got way better for full service restaurants! Now, servers can effortlessly zoom in & out for a clearer view of table arrangements, helping to streamline staff workflow. Simply place two fingers on the screen and pinch to zoom in or out. See complete release note here.
SpotOn Invoices Page Redesign (SpotOn Dashboard)
The new Invoices Page is redesigned for easier discovery, allowing you to quickly find your SpotOn invoices. With more fields visible on the screen, including the due date, amount due, paid status, and more, you can review everything at a glance—no need to download the PDF invoice. Reviewing and locating the right invoice is now faster and more convenient. Check out the new experience.
Redesigned Automated Deal Templates (SpotOn Loyalty and Deals)
Your guests will enjoy the new automated deal email templates for lapsed, birthday, signup, and new customer deals–now designed to look and feel more like your restaurant and with clearer deal redemption instructions.
Enhancement: Label printing configurations (Spoton RPOS):
You can now print individual menu items on each ‘chit’ for your SpotOn label printer, regardless of what print route it is sharing (ie. Kitchen Expo printer). To activate this feature, simply go to the printer-level setting in the Back of House. Once there, select the label printer you would like to apply this feature to and find the line that reads ‘Print items on individual requisitions’. Simply click the box to apply a check mark and click in any black space to save this action.
