Feature Enhancements: Week of August 7, 2023

We're constantly working to improve your SpotOn experience by enhancing what you currently use and love. Here is a summary of what has changed this past week.

What's New or Improved

• Start a Tab Enhancements (Restaurant POS): The following enhancements have been made to the Restaurant POS start a tab feature:

  • A customized screen when starting a tab will appear, indicating which card types are supported with the feature

  • Benefits for you: Ensuring staff can easily see which card types are supported

  • Start a tab now supports Automatically Applied Surcharges for various payment methods

  • Benefits for you: Expect the same experience with automatically applied surcharges when starting a tab or paying traditionally.

• Tip suggestions settings (RPOS):

  • We updated the location where you can manage whether receipt tip suggestions are set as pre-tax or post-tax. This can now be managed under Tip Settings under the Locations section in Back of House.

  • Benefits for you: Ability to update your tip suggestions and other settings in one location

• Usability improvement (SpotOn Serve):

  • On handhelds, we have increased the clickable area for menu items to be the full row instead of just the checkbox.

  • Benefits for you: Improves speed and accuracy when adding items to an order
